These three elements have always shaped our story. And to this day, they remain at the heart of what we call Amolaris. Here in Val Venosta – once known as the “granary of Tyrol” – far more has always grown than the grain for our daily bread. This remarkable landscape is also fertile ground for ideas, visions and the courage to create something new.

Powered by water – strong, constant, alive. And somehow, it still carries us forward. Its energy continues to flow: through every detail, every lodge, every suite and every conversation around the large wooden table.
Memories that last forever
Because they are more than memories
In the 1970s, Grandma Rosa and Grandpa Adolf opened their little bed and breakfast in Goldrain, welcoming guests from near and far. With courage, vision and a heartfelt sense of hospitality, they created something that can still be felt today. Their spirit lives on – especially in the Garden House, a place where people come together, treasured memories remain and new ones quietly begin.
Part of something new
The walnut tree once stood at the entrance to the Obermühle zu Schanzen – exactly where Amolaris has found its home today. For more than five decades, it grew here. Deeply rooted. Quietly becoming part of this place. Today, its story lives on in the tables of our lodges, suites and atrium. Each one unique. Each one carrying a piece of the past into the present. A gentle reminder that true stories never really disappear. They simply take on a new form.
What once was may remain
Some things carry more than their shape alone. They hold quiet stories. Stories that can still be felt. Old family chests and cupboards have found a new home with us – carefully restored and lovingly preserved, with deep respect for all they have witnessed. Grandpa Adolf’s tools live on too. Quiet companions from another time. Simple objects, filled with meaning.
Places change
And yet, they remain true to their soul. What was once part of the old mill has become a place of calm. Water flows. Nature unfolds. A place to arrive. To pause. To simply be. The old paths have been gently reimagined and still lead through the grounds today. They connect what has always belonged together – carrying the story of this place quietly into the present.
And some things are not seen at first glance
Family recipes, lovingly passed down through generations. Little gestures that come straight from the heart. Genuine hospitality – personal, warm and sincere. It is often these quiet details, gently unfolding in the background, that make all the difference. You may not notice them at first. But you feel them. And somehow, they stay with you – in your thoughts, in your heart and in the memories you carry home.
